这部英国味道十足的电影是去年圣诞档期的贺岁片，不过内容的深刻程度却远远超过了那些好莱坞的闹剧。

电影的一开始，就是伦敦希斯罗机场接机大厅里亲人们相见时拥抱的场景，同样的场景在片尾不断出现，最后会聚成一颗心。这也是这部电影的主题，在节日的欢乐气氛下，亲情和爱情才是真正的令人感动的，无论如何，Love is all arround us。

在优美的音乐下，电影讲述的圣诞来临之际发生在伦敦的十个爱情故事。有悲剧，有喜剧，也有闹剧，相互独立又相互关联，跨越年龄，跨越地位，跨越语言，爱情的悲欢离合以种种不同的面貌展现出来：

故事一：伴郎爱上了朋友的新娘
这是最感人的一个，爱情的无奈表露无疑。

故事二：秘书爱上了已经有家庭的老板
老板面对诱惑，如何应对，又如何解脱？

故事三：丈夫与秘书有染（故事三），妻子如何面对
家庭、子女、婚姻，远远不是一段爱情可以容纳。

故事四：办公室职员暗恋同事，但同时又要照顾患有精神病的弟弟
有时候，面对亲情，爱情也不得不退让。

故事五：父子亲情
丈夫一面承担着丧妻之痛，一面还要重新建立于孩子的心灵沟通

故事六：少年的初恋
孩子（故事五）爱上了即将全家迁往美国的校花，如何能将这一段毫无希望的暗情表白，又会是怎样一个结局？

故事七：首相的爱情
新上任的首相爱上了实习生，重演了克林顿和莱温斯基的故事，不过这次首相是单身，算不上道德问题，最后的结局自然也大不相同。期间穿插了与美国总统的冲突，英国首相一怒为红颜，导演通过电影表达了对美国霸权的愤慨，同时也暗示了对布莱尔的不满。

故事八：跨越语言的爱情
女友和弟弟红杏出墙，作家伤心地跑到法国南部去隐居疗伤，却与西班牙女仆一见钟情。虽然语言不通，两颗心却靠得越来越近。

故事九：同性之恋
年轻时沉迷与女人和毒品的摇滚巨星在重返舞台之后发现最值得珍视的是与陪伴自己多年的经纪人的情谊。

故事十：纵欲快感
在英国四处碰壁的青年，扛了一背包的避孕套只身来到美国，寻找美国梦。这个故事算是最荒诞的，也让英国人出口恶气罢了。

总体来说，虽然有的话题有些沉重，整个电影的风格还是喜剧为主，充满了英国电影常有的那种风趣幽默和睿智，值得好好品味。

当然。。。片子中的美好。。。也许在现实生活中不是经常能够看见。。。甚至有些是虚构的。。。可是无论如何。。。都会被其中的感情所感动。。。片尾再看到机场那张张欢乐的面容。。。更是对生活增加了热爱。。。

作为贺岁片，《真爱至上》的演员阵容非常豪华，涵盖了当今英国一线的演员，甚至连其中许多只露一两面的配角在英国都是家喻户晓的演员.
本片的导演兼编剧理查德·柯蒂斯曾经撰写过最受欢迎的四部英国影视剧的剧本——《四次婚礼一次葬礼》、《诺丁山》、《憨豆先生》系列及《BJ单身日记》，仅仅是这几部片子在全球的票房就已经接近10亿美元，而且不光是叫座，在评论家中的口碑也相当好，这足以说明柯蒂斯出色却又不媚俗的编剧水准。

当然，片中的音乐也同样值得欣赏，主题曲是大家耳熟能详的Love is all arround。本片的片名据说是“Love Actually is All Around”的简称，而这个名称和《四个婚礼一个葬礼》的主题曲“Love is All Around”大有渊源，这首旋律优美浪漫的主题歌正是本片导演理查德·柯蒂斯谱写的。

　　“很多人认为我们是生活在一个充满欲望和仇恨的世界，我不这样想，我觉得世界是充满爱的。”导演理查德·柯蒂斯在一次接受采访时说：“你知道吗？当我看到那两价飞机撞到世贸的双塔时，我们后来得知，那些飞机和楼里迎接死亡的人们留给这个世界最后的只言片语，不是憎恨，不是复仇，而是爱，他们告诉自己挚爱的亲友们，他们是多么爱这个世界，这些都是爱的讯息，他们打动了我，就像‘Love is All Around’那首歌里说的，爱无处不在。”
